Our promise, which is powered by our purpose, is to improve lives by helping solve the world's greatest challenges, whether it be within our own operations, through our products, for our customers, with our communities, or in our supply chain. Hello. My name is Rhondia Turano, senior vice president of Strategic Sourcing and Packaging Solutions. Responsible sourcing and sustainability, including environmental, social, governance metrics, are key strategies driving our ability to deliver our promise. They are important at 3M, as well as the supply chains we are involved with. The 3M Supplier Responsibility Code outlines the foundational expectations of our suppliers in the areas of labor, environment, health and safety, ethics, and management systems. We expect our suppliers to conform to the aspects of the code and hold their subcontractors and suppliers accountable to the same principles. (SPEECH) As a science-based company, we have over 60,000 products, many of which use raw materials from forests, such as wood, pulp, and paper. (DESCRIPTION) Packages of Post-It notes travel down a conveyor belt. (SPEECH) They go into producing iconic brands, like Post-it, and packaging for others. We have long recognized our responsibility to conserve natural resources and support a sustainable future. (DESCRIPTION) Mountains and trees surround a lake. (SPEECH) While 3M continues to share its responsible sourcing policy expectations with suppliers, whether it be with minerals or forest products, we work to transform practices on the ground regarding important social and environmental aspects of our policies. With partners such as Earthworm Foundation, one of our goals is to ensure that wood fiber used in our products and packaging comes from sources that protect forests and respect workers and the people who depend on them. (SPEECH) This is why we created our Pulp and Paper Sourcing Policy in 2015 and, this year, why we are expanding our efforts more broadly to forest products. (DESCRIPTION) Values. Establish strong policies and management systems. (SPEECH) This policy applies to our direct and indirect suppliers along the supply chain. (DESCRIPTION) Text, Transparency. Identify and assess risks in the supply chain. Transformation. design and implement a strategy to respond to identified risks. Verification. Audit supply chain due diligence. Report. Report on supply chain due-diligence activities. (SPEECH) Most importantly, it describes our values and commitment to transparency and sustainable sourcing that goes beyond certification and compliance to a forest-positive approach. (SPEECH) One unique aspect of our policy is that we require our suppliers to provide full supply chain traceability, from the mills down to the source of harvest. (SPEECH) This data supports our efforts to understand our global supply chain, identify where there may be risk, and take a collaborative approach to working through the supply chain and third-party experts and partners to transform the supply chain. We believe that coming together to work towards improving forest sustainability will have a greater impact, than working on our own. We do this in many ways, but I'd like to highlight two examples of these efforts. Together with Earthworm Foundation, we're supporting Indigenous-led conservation with a first nation in British Columbia, Canada. (DESCRIPTION) A man walks through the forest next to a small creek. (DESCRIPTION) Green trees cover the entire land area. (SPEECH) In Brazil, we have supported training for several hundred forestry professionals on human rights and community consultation.
